Rachana Sansad Film Institute (RSFI) has proved to be successful in foundation study of filmmaking since 2012 offering complete film academics based on filmmaking principles, lucid grammar, and contemporary practical training. Shekhar Sartandel

Head, Film Institute

Shekhar Sartandel is a film director and screen writer from Mumbai. After completing Commerce and Photography his profession began as a cameraman at Mumbai Doordarshan. Later he worked in advertising industry and assisted a Director at Bollywood for 8 feature films. Shekhar made his directorial debut in 2007 with a much acclaimed feature film in Marathi, ‘Joshi Ki Kamble’. He followed it up with feature ‘Nirmaalya’, ‘My Dear Yash’ and ‘Ekk Albela’. His films have received audience applause and critical acclaim, as well as honour in the form of nominations, awards and special screenings. Sartandel holds an eminent position in Board of studies of G.I.C.E.D. University of Mumbai and Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training.

Amit Velankar

Faculty, Screenwriting

Amit Velankar, a Production Engineer turned screenwriter has an extensive writing portfolio in popular marathi serials and serves as a content writer. He also worked as an associate director for Hindi TV shows Sonpari, Haqeekat among others.

Yatindra Pradhan

Faculty, Cinematography

Yatindra Pradhan is a cinematographer, photographer, and graphic designer in Mumbai. An M.F.A. in Creative Painting from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, Yatindra went on to acquire animation, photographic, as well as theatrical and music skills from renowned institutes.
Pradhan has shot two Bengali feature films, Marathi short films, ad films, corporate films; and has written – directed environmental documentary films. He has an experience in teaching art and cinematography for P.G Diploma in Filmmaking and other related courses.

Praveenkumar Madhavan

Faculty, Film Editing

Praveenkumar, a science graduate in Chemistry assisted for two Bollywood films in his formative years. He won Best Editor Award for multilingual films ‘Life! Camera Action’ and the prestigious REAKTOR Award for Hindi film ‘Chitrakut’ at Austria’s Indian Film Festival.He edited two Marathi feature films, Documentary films for Films Division, Ministry of Tribal Welfare, and for Government of Maharashtra.
Praveenkumar is working as a Sr. advertising editor at R.K.Swamy advertising. He has been teaching Film Editing in Mumbai University’s P.G. Diploma and Rachana Sansad Film Institute.

Rajdutt Revankar

Faculty, Cinematography

Rajdutt Revankar is a cinematographer in Mumbai. A Film and Television alumnus of UCLA (USA), Rajdutt is a Kodak-recognized professional cinematographer working on feature films, ad films.His filmography includes notable works like Hindi feature ‘Daanav’ selected at Cannes festival in Director’s fortnight section. ‘Joshi Ki Kamble’,‘Nirmaalya’,‘My Dear Yash’ and ‘Samadhi’ were another critically acclaimed feature films in later years. Rajdutt Revankar has been teaching Cinematography at L.S. Raheja Technical Institute, R.S. Film Institute and Mumbai University’s P.G Diploma.

Komal Shrinath

Faculty, Direction and Dance & Music Appreciation

Miss Komal is a faculty of Film Direction and Dance & Music Appreciation for P.G. Diploma in Filmmaking. She holds a Nrutya Vishard in Indian Classical dance, Odissi and is a ‘Graded’ artist by Doordarshan, Mumbai. She is working as an assistant director in film industry.
