SID 48 (48 years of existence)

The selection of an Interior Designer is highly a personalized one. The place where we live, work, spend time with family & friends and relax should be an expression of our personality, highlighted by the talents of the interior designer. The designers must have the ability to assess your lifestyle, assimilate your needs and interests, appreciate and respect your concerns while introducing you to new directions an creative ideas.

In addition, designers must have the ability to work within a broad range of styles and parameters. At the School of Interior Design (SID) we don’t just teach Interior Design, we encourage each and every student to access and nurture their own natural sense of flair and creativity.

The lectures at the School of Interior Design are conducted by highly educated and experienced architects and interior designers. The entire teaching faculty boasts of more than 60 enthusiastic and enterprising practicing professionals, working together to achieve high standards of education. SID aims to bring out practically oriented and aesthetically sensed interior designers. At the SCHOOL OF INTERIOR DESIGN, we can inspire and guide you to convert your creative dreams into a reality.

Course Objectives

Design research analysis;
Knowledge of materials and their use;
Survey and restructuring of spaces;
Design of interior furniture (private homes);
Design of furniture for commercial and public spaces (restaurants, museums, hotels);
Design of external spaces (redevelopment of public squares and gardens) and outside furniture;
Market trends analysis; study of the history, functions, morphology, production, and  types of materials; ideation and development of the concept; design of a new project);

Ar. Pradeep Sule
Head of Department – Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design
Ar. Pradeep Sule is a seasoned architect, interior designer, and educator with a career spanning nearly four decades. An alumnus of Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture, he completed his architectural studies in 1984 and earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1985.
His professional journey began with teaching at Sophia Polytechnic in 1984, where he later served as the Head of Department from 1994 to 1999. Passionate about design education, he has also contributed as a visiting faculty at reputed institutions such as LSR, Nirmala Niketan, and SID.
Alongside academics, Ar. Sule has led numerous architectural and interior design projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of space, aesthetics, and functionality. He is also a prominent set designer in the Marathi theatre industry, actively designing stage sets since 1985 and earning recognition for his innovative and culturally rooted designs.
Currently, he holds the position of Head of Department at Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, where he continues to inspire and guide the next generation of designers and architects with his vast experience and creative insight.

Jaydeep Ghag is an alumnus of Rachana Sansad and has been an integral part of the institution as a faculty member for nearly two decades. With a deep commitment to design education, he believes that true learning begins when students are encouraged to think, question, and visualize beyond conventional boundaries.

Known for his expertise in working drawings and technical detailing, he bridges the gap between concept and execution with precision and clarity. His approach to teaching empowers students to transform ideas into well-structured design solutions, nurturing both creative thinking and professional discipline.

Through his academic and professional journey, Jaydeep Ghag continues to inspire students to develop a strong design sensibility, technical rigor, and an independent design voice.

Karim Furniturewala, With years of wisdom and his practice of 40 years holds the position of an anchor to the firm. His sensitivity allows him to lead the projects with deep understanding of designing interiors which reflects the cultures of client and functionality of purpose.

Principal designer Amit Porwal is a creative design studio is a creative design studio. Icon projects In space private LTD is a multidisciplinary and award winning design firm with offices in Mumbai & Kolkata. Leading consultant and turnkey provider in interior and exterior designs in India & overseas. Our former and ongoing projects include commercial, residential, health clubs, hospitality and high end luxury interior projects.

Sarah Sham

Sarah Sham is the Principal Designer of the Mumbai-based interior design firm Essajees Atelier. Sarah holds degrees in Art History from Duke and Oxford University, a Business Administration diploma from NYU Stern, and Interior Design from Rachna Sansad Mumbai.

Anushka Contractor

Conceptualised and brought to life by our principal interior designer – Anushka Contractor – Anushka C Studio is the amalgamation of a decade-long journey in interior and furniture design. Collectively we have undertaken and completed more than 100+ projects at premium residential and commercial spaces.

Gayatri Munje

Gayatri Munje, based in Mumbai, MH, IN, is currently a Director of Interior Design at Pheroze Kudianavala Consultants Engineers Pvt. Ltd.. Gayatri Munje brings experience from previous roles at Pheroze Kudianavala Consultants Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Kalavaal Architects and Freelancing.
