Bachelor of Vocation ,B.Voc., (Interior Design) has been introduced from academic session 2017-2018; under the NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework) of UGC (University Grants Commission) & University of Mumbai.
The program is built to initiate a thoughtful, interactive and reactive design process. It aims at promoting a holistic approach to design by simultaneously involving inputs from theory, allied subjects and electives. It enables the student to become an independent and effective learner thus opening up a range of prospects on completion of the course. It also aims at inculcating an environmental awareness within the student for the benefit of human health, wellbeing and productivity.

Head of Department
M.Arch (Project Management) from Mumbai University. GDArch from Mumbai University.
Imparting education is a passion for Aishaana. The academic year 2023-2024 marks Her 3rd year with B Voc. As the Head of Department, BVoc Interior Design, Academy of Architecture – enhancing the knowledge and abilities of the students, are her primary focus areas.
Aishaana’s single minded purpose is to advance excellence at B Voc. She continuously explores and encourages new ideas, avenues and methods that are more effective for students’ learning and development. Her aim is to equip the students with state of the art technology and hands-on creative learning that would make them trendsetters and ideators in their field.
With more than 28 years of professional and industry experience, Aishaana is a result oriented professional with a proven ability to demonstrate success through effective resource management and appropriate technology employment.

Ar. Rashmi Tapke
Associate Professor
M. Arch (Project Management) and B Arch from Mumbai University.
With 23 years of industry experience in various architectural and interior projects, and more than 7 years of teaching experience, Rashmi loves to interact and share her knowledge with the younger generation. An avid learner, she is in constant pursuit of becoming a better teacher, She believes when one teaches, two learn. She likes to learn and improvise her teaching methodology and utilize them for the benefit of the students. She has her interest in the subjects such as History that keep her exploring more about the history of the city of Mumbai. She shares her knowledge with the students in subjects of Research Methodology and Design dissertations which is the final outcome of the course.

With a strong educational foundation in Interior Design(G.D.I.D.D)and Bachelors in Mass Media (B.M.M), complemented by a Master’s degree in design, Seema brings over 7 years of experience as an Interior designer to her role as an educator. As an alumni of the prestigious Rachana Sansad, Seema’s expertise is rooted in a deep understanding of design principles and practices.
As a dedicated educator, Seema is passionate about inspiring and empowering the next generation of designers ensuring they are equipped with the best techniques for their future careers. She strives to create a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and growth. With her guidance, students are encouraged to explore their potential and reach new heights in the world of design.
