A visualiser-illustrator by profession until he started teaching nineteen years ago; Asst. Prof. Suresh has won Advertising awards and accolades. His guidance to students focuses more on ideation and visualisation, ultimately leading them to Advertising/Communication design solutions. He has participated in group painting exhibitions and won several national and international art, painting and poster competitions over the last two decades. Upgrading himself with the advertising industry, Asst. Prof. Suresh attends knowledge sharing seminars and workshops from time to time.

Maya is a multidisciplinary mixed media artist and Assistant Professor with over 18 years of experience in teaching Exhibition Display Design, Web Designing, and Painting, and more than 7 years of professional experience in these fields. Passionate about creating lessons that both educate and inspire, she strongly believes in combining traditional learning with the power of modern technologies. Maya continuously explores new and exciting ways to integrate these approaches into her teaching.

Throughout her career, she has worked on numerous projects for the University of Mumbai and has extensive experience in exhibition display fieldwork. She has designed Republic Day floats for the 26 January celebrations in Mumbai and has showcased her paintings in exhibitions at the Jehangir Art Gallery. Additionally, she has also authored research papers.

A true photographer, Asst. Prof. started his teaching career with the department as a visiting professor of Photography some twenty years ago. His interest interacting with college students made him join full time five years later and is still strong with the department. Asst. Prof. Abhay believes in enjoying one’s work so as to enjoy the results. This motto helped him bag the Best Teacher award organized by Rachana Sansad Management once.

A calligraphy artist by heart, Dr. Nahate has been teaching for twenty two years as an Assistant Professor. Sir has mentored his students through impressive demonstrations in the fields of BFA (Applied Art), Fine Art, Architecture, B.Voc at his parent institute. His good teaching methodologies and popularity with students helped him bag “The Best Teacher Award” organized by Rachana Sansad Management twice. Conducting Calligraphy exhibitions and workshops across India, Asst. Prof. Anil Nahate has participated in National and International events receiving accolades and made the institute proud.

Into teaching profession for the past 17 years, Poonam has progressed from being a Senior Lecturer to an Assistant Professor encouraging students for their good qualities and individual potential in subjects like Typography, Graphic Design, Package Design, 2D Design and colour.

Her experience as a creative designer – visualizer, Texturing, Matte Paint, and storyboard artist has helped Poonam immensely in guiding young advertisers and designers. Currently pursuing her PhD, Poonam looks forward to the teaching challenges and opportunities at CAAC.

One of our distinguished alumni, Akshay has been successfully coordinating the Two-Year Advanced Certification Course for the past nine years. With extensive industry experience as a graphic designer working with leading companies, he brings valuable professional insight into academic practice. His strong foundation in design thinking, combined with a hands-on approach, enables him to consistently produce innovative and meaningful solutions across print and digital media. Akshay’s dedication to mentoring students and bridging industry standards with creative education has made a significant contribution to the growth and quality of the programme.

A specialist in the area, she has worked with numerous advertising agencies on well-known brands. She is diligent and has taught advertising theory and other practical subjects for more than ten years. She is an expert in the areas of copywriting, visual art, and communication. She holds an MFA from MIT ADT University, Pune and a GD in Art Applied from L.S. Raheja School of Art, Bandra. She believes that students are inherently creative and is an advocate for cutting-edge design.

After running a successful advertising agency for more than 23 years, and armed with an industry experience of over 26 years, Shrinal Kothare turned to sharing his industry knowledge with the next generation of communication artists. His belief of never letting formal education stand in the way of learning; drives his passion for teaching. He guides young minds towards thinking out of the box, challenging the mind, and producing revolutionary thoughts.

She specializes in event and commercial photography and has worked on a range of professional assignments, including collaborations with multiple celebrities. Her prior advertising agency experience strengthens her understanding of visual communication, branding, and industry practices, which she integrates into her teaching.

With an approachable and student-centric teaching methodology, she bridges the gap between students and faculty, fostering a supportive academic environment while effectively connecting theoretical learning with professional photographic practice.
