Rachana Sansad successfully organized a two-day Design Hackathon in collaboration with the NYUCT Design Lab, in the month of October, creating an immersive and high-energy platform for young designers to experience the realities of professional design practice.
The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various design colleges. Over the course of two intense days, participants were challenged with a real-world client brief, pushing them to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop innovative design solutions within a limited timeframe.

Working in a dynamic and competitive environment, students engaged in research, ideation, conceptual development, and execution, mirroring the workflow of professional design studios. The final design solutions were presented before an esteemed jury, where students received valuable feedback and insights that enhanced their understanding of industry expectations and design thinking processes.
The event proved to be a significant learning experience, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork. It also offered students a rare opportunity to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and communicate their ideas confidently—key skills essential for a successful design career.

The Design Hackathon reinforced Rachana Sansad’s commitment to providing experiential learning platforms and fostering industry-oriented education, while the collaboration with NYUCT Design Lab added global perspective and academic depth to the initiative. The event concluded on a highly inspiring note, leaving participants motivated, enriched, and better prepared for the professional design world.
